The Gusting Band Gigs
Thank you Club Pilipino of Orland Park for inviting us as your band and DJ for your 36th Annual Induction and Dinner Dance! We were happy to see all of you out on the dance floor as we played our rock and roll, disco, cha-cha, line dances, slow songs, etc.! I'm sure you all had a great time and that just drives us to do more and our best for all.
Our next gig will be for a 50th Wedding Anniversary on November 14th.
Looking forward to performing and watching all celebrate and dance the night away!
Thank you to our band manager, Mr. Virgilio Maghuyop and his lovely wife, Ate Annie, for your continued support (and place to practice and eat delicious food!); our roadie, Orlando - who consistently helps pack up our equipment, sets up and takes down. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Muchas gracias! DJ Mitchell (AKA John Ortega) - for being our sound tech and DJ for the past 4 or 5 years. Hopefully we'll find someone as good as you when you leave us for the islands of Hawaii! I'm so jealous! Mahalo! Benjie - our drummer, who through sickness and in health, is there to give us a beat and keep the band in time; Nonoy - our keyboardist and friendly giant, who tickles the keyboards with his unconventional fingering (which my piano teacher would have hit me with a ruler with!), but always provides awesome sounds and tones; Gerry Lomotan - guitarist and vocalist, for always being available to help out when needed; Jojo Santos - our bass player and vocalist, for helping make our duets sound great; Jojo Villaruel - our lead guitarist and vocalist, who always brings the house down with his rock n roll style and relaxes us with his ballads and folk songs; and last, but not least, me, the baby of the group, as I continuously do what I love doing and always looking to learn more from my very experienced group of musicians. Thank you for supporting me in all genres and pushing me to learn more. You guys are great and I'm glad to call you all my kuyas! Maraming salamat po for all your hard work! Madamu gid nga salamat! Arigatou gozaimasu! Muchas gracias!
