BLACK SUMMER is a three piece pop-alternative contemporary trio brewing a myriadof influences. Let them strike you with their form of straight rock, alternative, jazz, blues licks topped with a 'new school' attitude whipped unto pop sensibilities. It's all about taking a break from all the routine, just as brothers Allen & Ian, and Allen’s long time bandmate Gboy takes a break from their alternate lives. Though formed in 2008, the name is actually a rehash of Allen & Ian's old band. The musicality on the other hand stemmed from Gboy & Allen's serendipitious encounter in Cebu of 2004. Incidentally, this was shortly after the break-up of YOUTH SKY, the siblings' last band. In that year, Gboy & Allen formed ALLENWRENCH, and their team up was gonna go on many tranformations, from a trio to a quartet to a duo. Last year, by some twist of circumstance, Ian fill-up the void to complete the current trio that is now BLACK SUMMER. As it is, they've all been around playing in various gigs, productions and concerts on separate bands and occasions. This time they team up together as one after having been recently signed with record label DYNA MUSIC PHILIPPINES. With their flavor of originals and covers, let BLACK SUMMER uncover your restraints as they woo you inside out.

"Even Better Than The Real Thing"

Your cueing up on line to the entrance and already you're hearing guitars, drums, bass and that voice so familiar wailing in stadium reverb. Everyone's on waiting time listening to a piped in hit of this phenomenal band, you're out so eager yet relaxed.
