THE CHICAGO FILIPINO AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL 2008 MUSIC VIDEO AWARD: $1,000 CASH AWARD
THE CHICAGO FILIPINO AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL 2008 MUSIC VIDEO AWARD: $1,000 CASH AWARD
ATTENTION PINOY MUSICIANS, BANDS, AND FILMMAKERS:
MUSICIANS and BANDS: Thought about making a video? Know someone with a camera?
FILMMAKERS: Know some musical artists you'd like to feature in your latest creation?
Or do you have a recent work you'd like to share?
YouTube, social networking sites, and your own personal filmmaker or band pages are all great places to feature a music video. The CFAFF, the Chicago Filipino American Film Festival is looking to recognize
CFAFF has had a long history of music videos. In fact, our very first festival in 2004 was Patricio Ginelsa's video take on The APL Song, featuring The Black Eyed Peas and other great Filipino American performers. Since then we've featured directors including Steve Mallorca (SLOW JAM KING), and performers including THE PACIFICS, NATIVE GUNS, and P.I.C.
To celebrate five great years of Pinoy music videos, we will be featuring Awards in several film categories. Our jury award for BEST MUSIC VIDEO will award a cash award of $1,000.
Submissions must represent a collaboration between filmmaker and musicians. Entries must have the permission and agreement of both the filmmaker, the musical performers, and the songwriters, and all video footage or images used in the video. Unfortunately, cover tunes cannot be accepted.
Finalists will be featured at the 2008 Chicago Filipino American Film Festival at the historic, 1,300-seat PORTAGE PARK THEATER at Milwaukee and Irving Park in Chicago and the winner will be announced at the event.
DEADLINE: Early deadline is September 15, late deadline is October 1. Entries later than October 1 cannot be accepted.
