I've only been drumming for a year and considering I have no kit available for practice, then I really have no idea where to start with my solos.. lol.. (I only get to play the drums when I have band practices, I dont have a kit available on demand... condo units.. you get loud they kick you out)...

and oh, you dont necessarily need doubles to dominate on drum battles... especially on solos... just gotta be consistent and have a clean playing technique.. that's just my opinion...
