Want to Join the Chicago Pinoy Music Scene Network?
In November of 2007, local Filipino artists, musicians and
producers gathered to tackle the problem of decentralization,
divisiveness, and crab-mentality in the scene. It's goals were to
create an online community to help communicate and build a positive
and supportive Filipino-American Music Scene in Chicago. This
network is open to all Filipino fans, bands, musicians, artists,
producers, promoters and others to create dialogue about helping
build the scene, create friendships, inform members and the public
about events and activities and to organize our selves to produce
shows, promote our art and music, and create broader networks with
Fil-Am music scenes across the globe.
Prequisites and Policies of be members:
1. Allpeople wishing to apply for an online account must adhere to
the mission of CPMS: Build and support Filipino Artists, Musicians,
Bands and Fans to create a positive, and diverse music scene. Read

2. You must fill out the profile as completely as possible.
Profiles which use vague details, false information, in order to
participate in conversations will not be accepted.
3. Any remarks that are derogatory towards any other member
(whether it be slurs against any member's race, sex, sexual
preference, religion, politics or other) will have their membership
revoked and will be banned from the network unless a public apology
and or any other consideration is made by the creators and
moderators of this site.
4. This includes remarks made on their profile page, comments,
blogs, forum discussions and the chat room.
Benefits of having an online membership include but are not
limited to:
1. Promoting their music and work across this network and to our
affiliated netoworks including Fil-Amusic.com,
poptimesmagazine.com, jokojunradio.com, MYX USA, and NU Rock 107
Philippines.
2. Members are encouraged to participate in discussions, post their
own content to promote community building and their music.
3. All members are invited to Scene Meetings or participate in
organizing projects and events.
4. Bands are also welcomed to participate in any fundraising
events, concerts or any other promotions.
5. Meet new people and create new friendships by having access to
your own custom profile page and access to chatrooms, forums and
your own blog.
